Often when the butterfly is used as a symbol of the resurrection it is described as emerging from a cocoon. This is false scientific information.  Only MOTHS emerge from a cocoon.  A butterfly emerges from a chrysalis.  Be sure to use correct terminology so that misinformation does not need to be corrected in the science classroom.
