THE EMPOWERED LEADER

We are God's chosen people. As believers, we respond to God's love. His purpose becomes our purpose. As God's people, we live according to His will. Our mission is to proclaim the gospel, serve human needs, worship god, and nurture the body of Christ.

We have the power of the Holy Spirit for effective leadership. The presence and action of the Holy Spirit empowers us in our Christian leadership.

  • WE ARE NOT MERELY VOLUNTEERS - WE EACH HAVE A MINISTRY.
  • WE DO NOT JUST WORK IN THE CHURCH -WE CAN BE SERVANT LEADERS.
  • WE DON'T JUST DEVELOP PROGRAMS, OUR EFFORTS WORK TOWARD BUILDING UP THE BODY OF CHRIST, THE CHURCH.
  • WE DON'T HAVE TO BE DREARY AND WEARY WORKERS - WE CAN USE OUR GIFTS, TALENTS, AND APTITUDES TO BUILD UP THE BODY OF CHRIST, THE CHURCH.

What is leadership? To provide the organization with a sense of direction, and the tools to accomplish its mission. In short, the major task is to "equip the saints" so the organization furthers the Kingdom of God.

Often our ability to carry out the vision and mission of the organization is caught short simply because of our self-imposed limitations. We have a unique power source available to us. We need to draw on that power source. If we fail to use that power source, we set lower expectations and realize fewer outcomes.
