An Evangelism Song

In the Mood for Communication

Let an old tune from Glenn Miller communicate these ideas about sharing the Gospel.

Everybody's talking of communication,
Getting out our message all across the nation,
Wanting to be sure there is cooperation,
Helping one another in their exploration,
How we do that can become an indication
Of how we use communication.

Many are the ways we use communication.
Sometimes we are simply giving information,
Other times we're looking for a correlation,
Or to share our feelings and our intimations.
It may even just be our manipulation,
All of it is communication.

CHORUS: Let's communicate (oh yeah),
every day now,
Communicate, (oh yeah) any way now,
Communicate, (oh yeah), halleluiah
It's always great to communicate now
We don't want to be late to communicate,
That won't be our fate, we won't be late.

What you say is just part of communication,
How you say it is a bigger indication,
Body language, gestures and your voice inflection
Tell the listener meanings that are in relation,
All the messages should have an integration
To give you good communication.

Jesus said, "Disciple folks in all the nations,
Tell them the good news of God's gift of salvation,"
What you say and what you do will bring reactions,
Let them see God's grace in every interaction,
Give the hope of breaking through our separation,
That is just good communication.

What have you discovered in the brief summation?
Can you see the value of communication?
Messages get through, that is a realization,
We just have to watch there is a correlation,
What we say and mean should have unionization,
That's the goal of communication.

(Repeat Verse One)
