The Conversion of Saul
(Sung to the tune of The Beverly Hillbillies Theme)

Come and listen to my story 'bout a man named Saul
Of his journey to Damascas
How his named was changed to Paul
It began one day as to the city he walked towards
When a light struck him down
Then came the voice of our Lord

(Spoken: "The big guy, that is... the MAIN MAN)

Well God said Saul I don't understand you
Why you persecute the Christians
Everything they say and do
You must change your ways turn from darkness see the light
So to teach you this lesson I must take away your sight

(Spoken: "Scales covered Saul's eyes ... He was STONE blind)

For three days Saul sat in a small Damascan room
Fervently praying
In the darkness and the gloom
Then with hesitation but under pressure from the Lord
The disciple, Ananias, came and Saul's sight was restored

(Spoken: Saul could see again ... 20/20)

The Holy Spirit filled him Saul didn't waste a beat
A true believer he was baptized
His conversion was complete
He changed his name to Paul, God's forgiveness he made known
An apostle to the Gentiles now he'd found his way home

(Y'all keep praying now- Y"hear???)
