Paul and the Shipwreck

(Sung to the tune of Gilligan's Island)

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale
A tale of a fateful trip
No, it's not the one you're thinking of
It was a totally different ship ... a totally different ship

Well, Paul set sail from the shore one day
A prisoner bound in chains
To Rome he'd go before Caesar he'd stand
God's doctrine to proclaim ... God's doctrine to proclaim

A wind of hurricane force swept down
For fourteen days it raged
"Fear not," said Paul to the prisoners and crew
"You shall all be saved"... You shall all be saved

Just before dawn on the fourteenth day
All were still alive
Paul said to them, "Take some food,"
"You need it to survive"... You need it to survive

When daylight came the ship ran aground
They couldn't take much more
But all reached land safe and sound
Rescued by the Lord ... They were rescued by the Lord

Paul made it to Rome and began to preach
Forever in custody
He fought the good fight, he finished the race
His faith had set him free His faith had set him free

So join us here each week my friends
More tales of faith you'll hear
Like NOOOOAH
And Abraham
The disciples and Moses, too
And remember that ... through every trial
God is there for you
