We arrived in the Altenburg castle, after a long uphill climb, and were greeted with this spectacular view of the castle cathedral of St. George. Luther first preached here in 1520. Luther would visit Altenburg in 1526,28,29,30,37 and 1542 Luther met the elector Johann Friedrich in the castle. |
