Altar and pulpit above it in the Kieritzsch church. Katrina von Bora grew up near here, and Martin Luther agreed to buy her land here so that she would have a place to live after he died. Unfortunately, the Catholic forces took this area, and she never lived on her land. Her home was destroyed in 1760, since no one ever looked after it. The church has two medallions on the wall near the altar of Martin and Katie. |
