The black bronze door, inscribed with Martin Luther's 95 Theses in Latin was installed in 1858. The original door burned. Luther nailed these up for debate on October 31, 1517 on the castle church door in Wittenberg. If you look closely you can see where vadals have defaced the picture above the bronze doors. |
