Loose Change in Pockets

LOOSE CHANGE IN POCKETS

As council members were chatting prior to a meeting, they were talking about loose change in pockets! Generally no one liked loose change in pockets.
While driving one day I thought, "If people don't like change in their pockets, we should find a good use for it. So, we have a jar in the narthex with a sign "Let's Do Something Different for a Change. Let's Save our Change to Make a Difference in Someone's Life!"
Thus far, we have:
1. Approximately $1000 for a family whose new house burned.
2. $500+ to a tornado-affected community.
3. $400+ to a needy Christmas family.
