Letters - [ Exhibit J ]

October 2, 2000

Dear Friends:

October has been declared Stewardship Month at Grace Lutheran Church. Our theme this year is "Showers of Blessings" based on Ezekiel 34:26 ... and I will send down the showers in their season. They shall be showers of blessings.

During these weeks we invite you to think about all the blessings God has showered on you ... family, friends, good health, etc. and also think about how you are a blessing to others, how your stewardship of time, talents and treasures are used to further God's love

On Saturday, October 21st and Sunday, October 22n
d you will be invited to bring your "Faith Promise" to the services. On Sunday there will be brunch for all in the Church Parlors from 8:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. You are invited to be our guest to celebrate your commitment to God's work.

Yours in Christ,

Board of Stewardship

Letter 2

October 13, 2000

Dear Friends:

With this letter, you are receiving a "Faith Promise" card. We ask you this week to pray alone or as a family about your financial stewardship to God through Grace Lutheran Church. This in response to the BLESSINGS that God has SHOWERED on you.

Next Saturday, October 21 and Sunday, October 22, we ask that you bring your "Faith Promise" cards to the altar and give thanks for the SHOWERS OF BLESSINGS you receive every day from our Father.

What you commit to God's work here at Grace will decide the future of our church. Will we continue to reach out in the name of Jesus Christ and grow, or will we be held back and shrink? May God, through the Holy Spirit, guide you in your decision this week.

Yours in Christ,

Board of Stewardship
