The Seed Planters “So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.” Romans 10:17 The seed planters. Each of us has had a seed planted by someone along the way. It may have been your grandparent telling you stories of Jesus, your parents saying bedtime prayers at night, or a friend’s conversation. More than likely it was one or more of these and countless others along the way. I like to occasionally think back and thank the Lord often for those who influenced my walk with Him: a wife who never pushed but always encouraged; late nights in college arguing with friends (me, not them) about my faithlessness; being given words from our Lord in love through friends; bedtime prayers with Dad and my brothers; authors who spoke to my heart; … Where would we be without the support and seeds planted by those who love us? Father God, thank you for those who have shared Your good word with us. Help us to do the same for others. In Jesus’ name, AMEN. |
