Wartburg Castle

Sing or think about the hymn "A Mighty Fortress is Our God". It was written by Dr. Martin Luther. Dr. Luther was put into the Wartburg Castle so that his enemies would not kill him. God used the fortress to protect him in a time of trouble.

Remember that God is the one in whom we trust. God is our refuge and our fortress.

Who in your family, church family, or community especially needs to be in your prayers? Make a list of these people and post it on your refrigerator, bulletin board or computer. Take turns praying aloud for them during all the days of Lent or keep them in your silent prayers as you see the list. Send a note or card to them to encourage them.
