Return to the LORD, your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love Joel 2:13
This verse from Joel 2:13 is
often used in worship services during the time of Lent. People sing
this verse before they hear the reading of the gospel. When people
hear the reading of the gospel lesson, they are reminded again that
God is
gracious
and
merciful.
They hear that God
loves
us very much.
Try to memorize the verse from Joel 2:13. Think about the verse
throughout the season of Lent.
Make a list of ways people can "return" to God. Which ones would you like to try? Is there a "new" way you would like to study the Bible or do something during devotions? Try out the suggestions of each member of your family on a different day of the week.
