The Resurrection of Our Lord
Easter Day
Christ is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!
Read one or more of the following texts.
Acts 10:34-43 or Isaiah 65:17-25
Psalm 118:1-2, 14-24
1 Corinthians 15:19-26 or Acts 10:34-43
John 20:1-18 or Luke 24:1-12
Sing Easter hymns! Tell others that Jesus is
risen! He is risen indeed! Read the account of the resurrection in
more than one gospel or in several translations of the Bible.
Invite someone who would otherwise be alone to join you at an Easter
service and for a meal. Children may wish to make place mats with
symbols such as butterflies, lilies, or a sunrise and empty tomb.
Bible verses or a description of the symbols can add to the meaning
and provide an opportunity to share an Easter message with
guests.
Give homemade Easter cards with the resurrection message. Send Easter messages to the persons on your e-mail address list.
