HEALING WORDS FROM SCRIPTURE

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside still waters;
He restores my soul.

Psalm 23:1,2

I lift my eyes up to thehills -
from where will my help come?
My help comes from the LORD,
who made heaven and earth...
The LORD will keep you from all evil;
He will keep your life.
The LORD will keep your going out and your
coming in from this time on and forevermore.

Psalm 121:1,2,7,8

They who wait for the LORD shall renew their
strength, they shall mount up with wings, like
eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they
shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31

Jesus said, "Behold, I am with you always, to the close of the age."

Matthew 28:20

Jesus said, "Peace is my parting gift to you, my own peace, such as the world cannot give. Set your troubled hearts at rest, and banish your fears."

John 14:27

Rejoice in the LORD always; again I will say, Rejoice...Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplications with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God which passes all understanding will keep your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

Phillipians 4:4-7

PRAYERS FOR HEALING

In the Morning
God of all hope, as I begin this new day I rest myself in you. Whatever might happen during this day is in your hands. Strengthen me in my weakness, give skill to those who minister to me, and grant me confidence and faith in your healing power. In Christ I pray. Amen.

A Prayer when in Pain
Lord Jesus Christ, you know all our pain and sorrow and bore them for us on the cross. In the pain which I now experience allow me to know your presence, strengthen my faith when I would despair, and give me the assurance of your eternal love for me. Amen.

A Prayer before Surgery
Dear Lord, my God, you are the source of all health and wholeness. Be present now with all those people whom you have sent to work your healing and guide their minds and hands. Be present also with me and grant to me the confidence to know that all my days are in your loving care. In Jesus Christ. Amen.

A Prayer of Thanksgiving
O Lord, how unfailing are your blessings! Your mercies are new to me every day. I thank you for the renewing of my health. Continue your healing within me and grant that, as I grow in strength and faith, I may return in your time to the work you have given me to do for you. In Christ's name I pray. Amen.

A Prayer before Sleep
Gracious Lord, thank you for the blessings of this day. Please continue to keep mje in your care this night. Confident of your love, may I sleep in peace and wake refreshed, free of anxiety and ready to experience the mercies which you show me new each morning. Amen.
