What is a Lutheran? Here are the
simplified basics of our faith. If you are a visual person,
you may want to draw the figure to help you remember each
component. (It also gives you something to focus on if you
feel a little awkward.) The Scripture references provide
supporting text. We are
sinners who are forgiven and restored by God
through Christ. God's gift
of grace alone brings us to new life. Through the
Holy Spirit, God joins our daily walk. God meets us
in worship, Baptism and holy Communion, in the
Bible and in prayer. As a
Christian community of faith, we share the love of
God with each other and with the world. The
