For an opportunity to meet new and existing church members and have fun, Cross Lutheran holds an adult fun night. It is promoted with advance advertising in the church bulletin, etc. This becomes a night of fun and games for all adults. There is time for games, food and relaxation. Participants are asked to bring a dessert to pass. Movie Night: Once a month an adult movie night is offered. The movie is shown on a huge screen (9' by 12'), along with a huge sound system. It is just like being in a theater. Following the movie a discussion time of the movies message is held. Cross Lutheran does not charge for the movie, but pop and popcorn are available for a small price. Chid Care service project: This is a mentorship project provided by confirmation students and provides a great opportunity for mentors to participate with their mentees. Parents are invited to enjoy a day of shopping , baking, or just taking some time for themselves. While they are doing this, their children are lovingly cared for at Cross Lutheran. A variety of age appropriate activities are provided for a fun filled day. An attended sleeping room is also available for those needing naps. |
