Thanks for Being Our Neighbor!

Why a neighborhood block party?

1. Few people in the neighborhood of Peace had actually been in our building so we wanted to invite them so see what the building is like.

2. It provides an opportunity and place for neighbors to also visit with one another and meet new people.

3. It's a positive way to give some visibility for Peace in the community.

4. The congregation is a part of the neighborhood and we wanted to say thanks to the people living around the church.

Jr. High youth distributed 150 flyers (see below) to homes in our immediate neighborhood inviting them to the block party. The youth then met for pizza. We also advertised the event on the radio and a morning news sheet.

This was our third block party and approximately 140 people have attended each year.
