Message to the Congregations.

The representatives from the congregations and parishes, in the 8th Synod Assembly of the Sínodo Centro-Campanha Sul - IECLB, have gathered in the date of May 31st of 2003, in the Rosário do Sul Evangelical Congregation  fellowship hall Martin Luther under the IECLB theme for this year (“our world has salvation” - “God will wipe every tear from their eyes.” Revelation 21,4) and its significance to the Synod and Church missionary action.

As Christians of Lutheran Confession we reaffirm that it is possible to believe in other reality, different from the one the world experiences, that is full of pain, suffering and exclusion. Our communion of faith and life makes us feel the presence of the God who loves, acts wiping from the eyes the tears, transforms and saves. For what God has already done, does and will keep doing, we are animated to take concrete attitudes, signalizing that this world does has salvation.

In the presented reports  we have noticed that God has walked with the different action realized in the Synod and that indicates a perspective of hope and conviction that we are not alone but we are guided by the Holy Spirit.

As participants of a Church that is walking on and is on service, we reassure  the compromise with  the mission and with the reconstruction of a new reality.

From the congregations it will irradiate testimony and service to the Good News of the Gospel that is capable to launch new challenges that look for strength congregations and form new congregations in new areas.

May the God that loves and capacitates us continue to give instruments to us  in God’s Mission.

Rosário do Sul, Saturday, May 31, 2003.
