The Ladder Program
“
Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart
from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) Part of that training is giving our children
spiritual building blocks to form a solid foundation. Our Ladder Program was
designed and revised to offer students and parents some of the important pieces
to help in that construction project.
In the program, the child is asked to learn BY HEART (And hopefully keep
in their heart) 7 “pieces for each ladder. An adult signs the card by each
item learned and when it is completed, turns it in.
Ladder 1
1. Jesus Love Me
2. Lord’s Prayer
3. John 3:16
4. a meal prayer you use
5. One verse of a hymn you pick
6. Apostle’s Creed
7. A Bible verse you love
Ladder 2
1. The Ten Commandments
2. Books of the New Testament
3. 2 verses of a hymn you pick (different from Ladder 1)
4. A different meal prayer
5. We welcome you the Lord’s Family (LBW p.125)
6. We offer with joy and thanksgiving (LBW p. 67)
7. I Corinthians 13:1-7

1. Books of Old Testament
2. Psalm 23
3. 3 verses of a hymn (different from Ladders 1 or 2)
4. This is the Feast LBW p. 81
5. Create in Me LBW p.75
6. Let the Vineyards LBW p. 86
