BIBLE MEMORY VERSES

Dear Parents:

In Christian love you presented your children for Holy Baptism and made these sacred promises:

  • To faithfully bring them to the services of God's house
  • To teach them the Lord's prayer, the Creed and the Ten Commandments
  • To place in their hands the Holy Scriptures
  • And to provide for their instruction in the Christian faith

The Bible tells us that when Jesus was a boy he "increased in wisdom and stature, and is in favor with God and man."  Our children too are growing in many ways.  The study of God's Word will help them grow in wisdom and faith.

Coming to church and Sunday School each week and learning these memory work assignments will help your child's growth in faith.  We encourage you to take this opportunity to help your child study and learn the memory work; remember, they are "treasures" both for this life and forever.  We see this as many of our senior members with failing eyesight treasure, remember and recite verses they learned as children.

May God bless you and your family as you study His Holy Word.

Peace and Joy,

The Sunday School Staff

The Lord's Prayer

Our Father in heaven,
Hallowed be your name.
Your Kingdom come, your will be done,
On earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
