Sunday School Offering ideas

Sunday School Offering First Lutheran Church in Amery, Wisconsin no longer uses traditional envelopes for their Sunday School offering. We collect our money in a church which was made by a member of the congregation. Our first offering box was in the shape of a window and we sent that collection to the Luther Point Bible Camp to be used for windows in the new retreat center. We designate each semester offering for a different project. We have given money to our missionaries in Guatemala, The Haven (which is an adult day-care operated here in our church), two families of our congregation that lost their homes to fire, and most recently to the Siren Interfaith Connection to help rebuild their community after the tornado. The kids enjoy watching the church fill up as well as knowing how their donations are helping others. Here is a picture of our Sunday School children and their first semester's offering.
