August 27, 1997 To Parents of Students in Grades 6-9: We are very pleased that most of you were able to be present at one of our two parents meetings, when we unveiled how our confirmation program would look this year. Is it possible that we only have to wait until next Wednesday, Sept. 3, to be able to finally give it a try? We are also very pleased that so many of you felt the spiritual growth of your child was important enough that you wanted to be part of the process. Please find enclosed a list of those whose work schedule enable them to be helping out this year. Please note that there is still room for a few more parents! We’d love to work together with you here. Just call us today and let us know how you would like to serve. Calling all puppet parents! We as yet do not have anyone to work with our youth who would like to be part of MOP (Ministry of Puppets). If you feel the Lord calling you to this ministry, please call the office today! No parents, no MOP! Ask your child to name their first and second preferences for friends to be included in their small group, and call the office by Sunday, Aug. 31 with their choices. If we don’t here from you, we will assign them to a group. 3:45-3:55 Snack (Donna & ?) 3:55-4:35 Bells (Marilyn) 4:35-5:00 Instruments (Barb) 4:00-5:00 Homework Room & Conversation Room (Monitored by _____) 4:00-5:00 Games inside/outside (facilitated by Pastor Greg) 5:00-5:30 Supper 5:30-7:00 Confirmation Experience We suggest that if possible, families provide $10.00/child for the snacks and $2.50/meal/child for the supper. You may pay for as many meals in advance as you would like. You may drop this off at church anytime. Please note on the memo line of the check what the amount is for. Both Pastor Roger and I are very excited about our role in the confirmation program this year. But we are even more excited about the involvement of so many of you.
