Original Seamen's Scarf from the Seamen's Church Institute Materials: 4-ply yarn: one scarf takes 4 _ oz. Pair No. 6 needles Gauge: 5 sts = 1", 7 rows = 1" (garter st) Instructions: CO 32 sts with medium tension. Knit even for 14 inches. K4, P4 for 18 inches. K even for 14 inches. BO with medium tension. Note: Measurement of completed scarf: Approx. Width 6 _ "; Length 46". Finishing: Do Not Block Scarf!
