SAYING GOOD-BYE Pastoral Care to Those Whose Congregation is Closing A copy of the resolution that was voted on and the ballot RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Vang Lutheran Church, Fairdale, ND has faithfully served Jesus Christ, and WHEREAS, those present at the annual meeting of Vang Lutheran Church held on February 3, 1995 at the home of Virginia Skare determined that the current membership was unable to sustain the current budget, and WHEREAS, at this annual meeting of Vang Lutheran Church a mail-in ballot to vote on a resolution to dissolve the congregation was proposed, and WHEREAS, at a congregational meeting of Vang Lutheran Church held on February 20, at 2:00 p.m. at the home of Harold Lee, this mail-in ballot was counted, with the result of a 22 to 7 vote in favor of dissolving Vang Lutheran Church, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That Vang Lutheran Church, rural Fairdale, ND be dissolved effective April 1, 1995; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That all liabilities remaining after that date e the responsibility of the Vang Lutheran Cemetery Association; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the officers of Vang Lutheran Church be authorized to transfer title of any and all properties and all other properties and all other assets of Vang Lutheran Church to the Vang Lutheran Cemetery Association; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the offices of Vang Lutheran Church be authorized to take steps to dissolve Vang Lutheran Church Corporation.
