NURSERY
GUIDELINES -
[ Top ]
- It is
highly recommended that the nursery be limited to
children up to the age of three and those over
three attend the worship service with their parents.
Children over the age of three may be left in the nursery
provided a family member stays with the child for
supervision.
- All
children (along with parents' name) must be signed in on
the Log Sheet (SIGN-IN
SHEET)
upon entering the nursery.
- Children
will not be allowed to leave the nursery unless
accompanied by a family member or nursery
attendant.
- It is
recommended that the nursery be limited to the following
numbers:
- 5 -
when one attendant is present
- 10 -
when two attendants are present
- These
numbers may be exceeded provided a family member is
willing to stay and assist with the additional
supervision.

- Attendants are
requested to wear name tags while serving in the nursery.
If you would like to experiment with name tags on the
children (backs), you are free to do so.
- Attendants are
expected to remain in the nursery at all times even if no
children are present.
- Make sure that
the log sheet is properly filled out and all children's
names and ages along with parents' names are
entered.
- Attendants who
are unable to make a schedules session are responsible
for finding their own replacement or, if unable to do so,
contacting the church office.
- Use of equipment
in the nursery room:
- Children are
allowed to use essentially anything in the room with
the exception of any locked items and the cabinet
between the two closets on the west wall.
- We suggest
that you do not use the sandbox unless you are able to
watch it closely so that sand is not taken out of the
box.
- there are
rockers available (for attendants) in the closet on
the north end.
- Please jot down
any pertinent comments at the bottom of the sign-in sheet
when your session is completed. These comments will be
helpful for feedback to the Worship and Music
board.
- The 7:45
attendant is responsible for setting up the sign-in
clipboard and guideline sheet on the stand just inside
the door on the left. All materials can be found in the
drawer in this stand.
- The 9:30
attendant is responsible for the following cleanup
duties:
- Tidy up the
room and leave it in an orderly state.
- File sign-in
materials for the day in the three-ring binder (or
folder) and return the materials to the drawer in the
stand.
