APPRECIATION SUPPER FOR CONGREGATIONAL LEADERS AND THEIR FAMILIES

Serving on one of our congregation's boards or its Church Council requires a sacrifice of time, not only by those who serve, but also by their families because parents will be serving at church during time which they might otherwise be spending at home with their family.

For the past several years, Grafton Lutheran has begun its new year of board and council meetings (in February) with a free spaghetti supper to which all board and council members and their families are invited. After an hour of food and fellowship, the families return to their homes and the board and council members remain at the church to begin organizing for the new year. It is a pleasant way to begin and it shows appreciation for the sacrifices which families make so that congregational leaders may do the tasks to which they have been called.

Our congregation's men's group has volunteered to pay for, prepare, and serve the spaghetti supper.
