1.) General Memorial fund
A general memorial fund has been established for the handling of all memorial gifts not specifically identified to an end purpose. All expenditures are to be submitted to the Executive Committee for approval. Any expenditure in excess of $1,500 must be ratified by the Church Council.

Suggestions for memorial expenditures from the general memorial fund may be brought through the senior pastor, to any regularly scheduled meeting of the Executive Committee. In Addition, the Executive Committee shall, twice a year, review the available funds and invite suggestions for expenditures from staff and Council members.

2.) Specified Memorial Funds
Money for specified memorials will be accepted only if, and after, the specific memorial is approved by the Executive Committee. If the amount is in excess of $2,500. or if the memorial would encumber the congregation with any ongoing expense not covered in the memorial gift, then Church Council approval is required.

3.) Trinity Foundation
The Trinity Foundation has been established to receive bequests, among which can be memorial gifts. This is one good channel for memorial money, but unless such designation is made by the giver, memorial gifts will go to the general memorial fund.

4.) Statement of Purpose
It is understood by the congregation, and by the giver of any memorial gift, that nothing except God's love and grace is absolutely permanent.

Therefore, while most memorials will remain in place for many years, there will come a time for nearly all of them, when they have served their purpose. At such time, in faithful service to our living God, the function or location of the memorial may be changed.
