Monday Morning Message
ELECTRONIC CONNECTIONS WHEN THEY'RE AWAY
FROM CHURCH; OR GOOD IDEA: A short electronic message pops on to the computer screen every Monday morning for all those at Zion Lutheran, Stratford, who have email addresses. It's titled "News from Zion for the week of ______." It has five sections: 1) Yesterday's worship centered around . . . 2) Highlights of this week's activites include . . . 3) Next Sunday . . . (cong meeting or baptism or ?) 4) Remember in your prayers . . . 5) Thought for the week . . . Here's what last Monday's message looked like: Good Morning and welcome to the "News from Zion" for the week of November 5, 2001. Yesterday's morning worship centered around "Honoring and Remembering" our loved ones who have lived and died in the faith. A more intimate and somber "Service of Remembrance" was also held later Sunday evening. Both worship experiences gave you time for thought and remembering. Highlights of this week's activities include: Monday -7:00 p.m. Stewardship Committee Meeting Next Sunday - Nov. 11: 9:00 a.m. - Worship (Puppets will be worshiping with us) Remember in your Prayers: Ray ____ Thought for the Week: The Holy Spirit - God's security system Zion Lutheran Church
The e-mail is sent each Monday morning to all members who have e-mail addresses. It is also sent to a few nonmembers who are interested in what is happening at Zion. It works very well and members are enjoying it.
